- 解釈：詭弁（きべん）。こじつけ。堅くて白い石は、見て白いことは分かるが、堅いかどうかは分からない。また手に触れただけでは堅いことは分かるが、白いことは分からない。よって白い石と堅い石は同一のものではないと説いた中国戦国時代、趙（ちょう）の公孫龍（こうそんりゅう）の論法。
